I'm new to Limewire cause, but ive used emule and bearshare. I just want a variety!

I've heard somethings about not using limewire 4.10??
I've also heard that limewire 4.9.7 is the best.

Is this true? (obviously opinionated)

Why isn't limewire 4.10 good to use?

Partly this depends on which OS and platform you use, but why don't you go to www.limewire.com and download Limewire 4.10.9 Basic and see how you get on. You've nothing to loose. I don't remember 4.9.7 being particulary notable, and if you downloaded it on p2p you might well get a dodgy copy.

4.10 uses a junk filter which is now OK .. and if you go to http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._history.shtml you will see the feature changes in more detail.

I have copies of LW 4.9.37 & 38 but not 4.7 unfortunately! I have later & earlier. But I think you will be impressed with the next "official" version. Unfortunately it's still going thru its beta progression until they get everything right after some great but dramatic changes/improvements.
