If any company came up with a complete anti spy ad ware solution it would be catastrophic, these firms feed off each other, analogy - Ford patent a car that runs on fresh air, great for Ford but everyone else goes bust, then Ford open garages that sell fresh air....pointless.
There is no solution and never in the near future will there be a solution to spy ad or any other ware installing on your com, cos if they want in they WILL get in no matter what current version you are running.
Dont want to be a wet blanket but market forces and all that.

Sure ... not any one is perfect. That's why it's often advisable to have more than one just in case. But the following ones we recommend are decent & work well with each other: 1. ad-ware (FREE), & also 2. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE)

These are given the ultimate thumbs up by the spyware forums! Though even they suggest more than one is advisable.

AVG Free works good too... you can get it off www.lavasoft.com

You dont get it do you, there is no "QUICK FIX", but as long as you tell your onliners theres a remedy then thats ok, the panic these idiot sites create is phenomenol and a remedy is immpossible, its an ongoing thing.

No anti-virus program is perfect. Some are faster than others to pick up on particular new viruses, & this varies as to which is faster than the other.

I'm glad my main computer is not windows.
