Limewire In Dutch

 Okay, DISCLAIMER: I have no idea what I'm doing with limewire, completely trial and error. I only got it last week, and as a general rule, I"m BAAADDDD with computers. Continuing on, me being the "special"*cough* person I am, I managed to change my language to Dutch (I think). From messing around with it, I've figured out how to change it back. I know I have to restart it, but as embarrasing as it is to admit it, I cannot figure out how. Could one of you limewire gods help a lower subjet in my confuzzlement? Thanks.;)

To restart LW, just close it. Control-Q or W or click on the cross in the far right corner. Then re-open.

The new version of LW shows the nationality flag next to the language.

What is it you don't understand?

I did what you said (closed the window), and reopened it, when I reopen it, it's still in dutch. Thanks for your help!

Did you choose the american flag?

Close LimeWire (LW).

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Before you do this, use the control-Alt-Delete keys & open up Process Manager. Check to see LimeWire is not an active program. If it is, kill the process.

THANK YOU! It worked, you are my hero. Thanks so much for helping me with my little problem! :)

Glad to hear it worked. :) BTW which technique worked?

Bornconfused June 4th, 2006 09:13 AM

The Ctrl Alt Delete thing

Ah good! So alls back to normal then! Good! Thanks for letting us know! :)

BTW it might be a good idea to set LW to close immediately. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Shutdown/task bar
& set it to close immediately ... not after transfers finish.
