I have a problem. I just got LimeWire 4.12.3 and I installed it and did everything it said HERE http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=27036 When I open up my limewire IT saids i have a very strong signal. At the top of my LimeWire it saids Enabling Open Information Sharing. IDK what that means but I try and Download something. NOTHING happens.........I will search for a song But then when I click on it NOTHING happens.....IT doesnt DO ANYTHING!!! Please help!!!!

It always says "Enabling open file sharing" at the top of LW:)
See if your downloading problem is just a simple license issue

heyy,

i had the exact same problem...i tht its a firewall issue...so i configured my firewall following the steps on this page http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

however the problem still persisted....it finally turned out tht i didnt have enough disk space...so i just creted some....nd it worked fr me....u might want to try doin that!!

a wk or 2 ago I was having probs searching and downloading so came looking for answers -- seemed to be a common prob ... no returns on searches. I, too, thought it was a firewall thing, but after adjusting, readjusting, reconfiguring and finally totally disabling my anti-virus, I uninstalled and reinstalled LimeWire; it's been working fine ever since. Give it a try. Sometimes "we" tend to overlook the obvious and the easiest answer.
