how do i open zip files, a window comes up with the option of installing and data, but neither acutally come up with anything, anybody else have this problem ?

I sure hope that you're not downloading .zip files that are less than 1 MB, then you are trying to open viruses and worms etc.

do you have winzip or winrar thats what you need to open a zip

Oh god thats so dangerous best thing to do is scan them first [right click scan with...] you can download a zipfile software to open them but your a lot better off not doing it.

Stay AWAY from zips. Those that dont open will infest your computer, even if you scan it before hand it could be too late. Not all AV's pick up all the virus types and there are a few new ones roaming Gnutella so becareful what you download, if it looks too good to be true, chances are that it's a virus.
