![]() Hi folks I'm a bit concerned because when I signed up with Limewire I find that my final billing is over $50 and I was not expecting that. Also they said that Iwas being charged for the pro version and some malware program which I do not want. My limewire program is called 360 SharePro is this the "pro" version? If not do I have to download the pro and then they bill me again? If I do not download the Netspy program amI still charged? I also find it a bit odd that there are these forums and yet there's no actual Limewire billing support area that I can address my concerns at. I do appreciate any clarification at all Huck |

![]() First, let me thank foolofthehill for his heads up about members music area download. They charge for what is free here. I was going to pay $50 for the pro version. Surprisingly, when I called them they reversed the charges immediately (or so they say) we'll see when I get my billing. Since then I signed on with Limewire and all is well. Once again thanx Huck |

![]() The websites http://www.download-it-free.com and http://www1.free-music-share.com are operated by the same company and according to what is on Google both are scams. Limewire is only one of the organisations targeted. It is believed to operate from India. There seem to be a lot of people complaining that they have been scammed out of usually around fifty dollars but I found no reports that anyone had successfully got their money back. If they really are based in India it should be possible to find out exactly where and no reason not to make a formal complaint to that area Police Force. Various India Police Forces have web pages with contact details. At the bottom of the ‘download it free’ page is has the disclaimer “This website has no affiliation whatsoever with the owner of this software program, and provides only a link to the software program. Copyright 2005 Download-it-Free.com All rights reserved” You can’t get an address or telephone number without first committing to pay them but Huck 1680 you say you (having paid) got a number to call them: perhaps you would publish it here. Hope you are successful in getting your money back. |

![]() Tesl Absolutely, I called and the rep was very helpful, he did a little dance at first but when I told him that the true Limewire was free and only a fraction to upgrade to Pro compared to what he and his company were charging, he put me on hold and then came back to tell me that I would be refunded 100%. The phone number that I got was 1 866-488-0791. I believe that the reason I got a refund so easily is the short period of time between my ordering and my wish for refund. I'd ordered it tues. night and asked for a refund Wed. morning. They then sent me an e-mail confirming the refund as well. So this time it ended well |

![]() See the new thread "I Got Scammed. Goodbye $70" by Synik_1979 above. A search for Euclid Networks at Basseterre brings up (amongst other hits) a site called "AccessMp3Music.com". I would guess that that site is operated by the same company as the two sites in this thread because the pages look like they have the same designer - similar colours, similar layout, identical member log-in.
