Default no responses to search

Seems to me that I while back I read this same question, but, since it wasn't a problem for me at the time I didn't pay attention.

Well now it is.

I'm getting no responses to my searches? Any suggestions on why and what I can do to remedy the prob?

I'm in the "intermediate" category as far as tech-savvy goes.

Any and all help appreciated.

You're not able to download or you can't search or both? That generally indicates ISP filtering.

Try an experiment. Try downlding a file from one of the magnet links here: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

Tell us what happens.

BTW: Who is your ISP (internet service provider)?

Dear L.o.o.R,
Solved the prob - I just uninstalled and reinstalled Limewire and it's working fine. God (meaning Bill Gates) works in mysterious ways?!

I was having "sluggish" probs earlier today: did a disc clean-up, a defrag, a virus scan, ran an msconfig; finally did a system restore and that's when the limewire probs started. As they say in the "Valley": whatever!

Appreciate your response.

clipmgr

PS: I could search, just got no hits so don't know if I could've downloaded or not. My ISP is TDS Telecom (local, Wisconsin, phone provider). I'm DSL. Am going to save your reply about the magnet link for future ref.
