Question for ipod users Ok, I have never used an ipod before today and I was wondering :p after you have transferred the songs onto the ipod and you go to remove Hardware safley, why does the message come up saying... The device "Apple ipod USB Device cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later. |
I've never seen that error, what model of iPod is it? I get a "do not disconnect" message on the screen of my iPod & then I have to eject the iPod (from within iTunes). Once I've ejected the iPod, I can go to 'safely remove hardware' & unplug it. You might find some answers on the iPod site http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/ Try ejecting the thing. Right click on the iPod in the source column of iTunes > eject. |
Hey mate, I tried to eject it from there before and it said that the application is being used elsewhere.... Do you think it maybe because it's charging.. It's my sons friend who owns the ipod and I just gave him the music... Oh and it's an ipod shuffle.... |
I can eject mine if it's still charging. Mine's a Video but I don't know if it's different for a Shuffle. LOTR would probably know. Try going to the Shuffle support & search for that error you're getting, or try the iPod forum??? http://www.apple.com/support/ipodshuffle/ Is it still updating? I don't think you can eject while they're updating. |
I toubleshooted with the link you gave me and took it out of the USB port and all is well...It works...;) It said the update was complete... Cheers Mate |
