Default Audio Playback problems

I have not been able to play back the songs I have downloaded. Roughly the first 6 seconds play and then the song starts all over again. Like it is in a loop. I have tried deleting songs, downloading from different sources and re-installed Limewire a few times. Please help.

Try using WMP or VLC to play your songs, rather than the LW media player.

I have tried playing them with WMP and my MP3 player. It still does the same thing.

Sounds like your MP3s are being corrupted, are you downloading onto a PC or server?

I'm downloading to my laptop from my work's internet connection. It is on a network.

If your office network is anything like mine then your downloads must come through a firewall and, possibly, a virus checker. Some server AVs, unlike AVs made for PCs, will hash (pull apart and rebuild) your downloaded files but will delete anything it considers to be dangerous or against office policy. If this is the case then your MP3 files are being put back together minus certain bits, hence your corrupt files.

The only answer is to use another network, e.g. non-office.
