![]() Now that Limewire is being sued by RIAA, is it safe to continue using it for music and other downloads? I know the record industry was already aware of Limewire, for quite a while, but wondered if the level of scrutiny of individual users and potential for individuals being hunted and fined is greater now that the suit has been initiated. Also wondering how the owners of the Limewire LLC company have responded to the suit, so far. |

I do not personally see how things should be different for ordinary users, but if you live in the USA or if you share thousands of copyrighted files, you are at greater risk than others. Just remain sensible. keep sharing down to a few hundred files, Don't leave LW running continuousy and of course if you are sharing non copyrighted or Creative Commons files, as thousands of users do there is no danger whatsoever.
