I have limewire and have allways been able to get .dmg files but sinds two days I can not get any .dmg files and only get files with Window based extensions and not Mac based axtension. I have Virtual Pc 7 installed on my computer is that the reason that I can not get any Mac based files downloads. Two days ago the limewire window suddenly changed and the fonts on the window were smaller and the window renewed itself iinto the standard view. Does any one know what has gone wrong and why I can not get any .dmg files in the search fields?

Choose Program type search & type in .dmg in the search field. Not sure why you'd be using LW on VPC for downlding. Why not use LW for OSX?

I am not using limewire through VPC . I use the OS X version . I suggested that, because I had installed VPC on my Mac and that this was maybe the reason I couldn't get the .dmg files. I rarely use VPC. My thought was that Limewire changed from the OSX version into the Window version because he detected VPC on my computer and changed the Limewire version without my knowledge.

I'd suggest making a note of important settings in LW's Preferences, then deleting the preferences folder whilst LW is closed. The prefs folder is found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Then see if LW is behaving oddly. BTW which OSX version do you have?
