 file sharing through firewall For some reason the library in my college has a firewall while the lounge doesn't. Unfortunately the lounge is packed right now. The firewall means that Limewire can't do anything. Does anyone know of any file sharing programs that work through firewalls?  |

| AFAIK LW was the very 1st p2p program to introduce abilities to get thru firewalls. But it depends upon the firewall. Libraries in my experience at university had very strong security to protect themselves. In fact only programs installed by the school were able to run. But different schools will have their own particular security setups. Perhaps you should be patient or try to get to the lounge before the others.  |
