Angry Charter Pipeline nuked Limewire

With @home's death, I was 'forced' to change over to Charter Pipeline. After running the program from Charter to change my network setting, Limewire will not run. It seems that Javasoft is gone from my PC. Installing Limewire results in the following error: "1608 Unable to Create InstallDriver instance". I tried to unistall Limewire and the will not work either.

Anyone have any ideals?

One thing that I forgot to mention in the original post... As the Charter stuff installed, several files called JAVA?.* were in the list of stuff.

IN case you are not mad enought at Charter, there was nothing in the Charter.exe upgrade program that you have to have. The necessary changes can be made manually in about 1/2 the time it jsut took to download the program. Do you like the new "look" for you OE & IE ? That part I finally fixed, try this: Go to "C:\Program Files\Internet Expoler" and rename the subdirectory directory "\Custom" to anything else (do not delete, it, in case bad things happend). When you reboot, your IE and OE should look the way they did.

Charter didnt really do anythiing to your computers. If you were half has computer lerate as Al Gore is. You should know you dont have to install their crap software just to "be connected to the Internet". You just have to configure your TCP/IP settings, well that is if you're using Windows and I'm pretty sure you are.

I would have to say that the problem isn't anything to do with Charter Pipeline - I'm on Charter Pipeline and have had no trouble at all with getting Limewire to work.
