Remoc has a spectacular aura about
Question Limewire on multi user accnts.

Hi, Is it possible to have Limwire on other user accnts? The user accnts. are already set up. Just trying to get Limewire on my sons accnt. so I don't have to listen to his music . I am from a different generation if you know what I mean. Do I have to download Limewire on his user accnt.? Will it take it away from me and only install on his accnt.? I don't want to loose what I have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This is a stab in the dark as I don't use multiple accounts myself. There shouldn't anything happen to your files doing this (but always back up your stuff. With computers you don't even know if it will turn on tomorrow)

Copy your preference folder to your sons account. It's called Limewire

From C:\Documents and Settings\*Your account*\Application Data to C:\Documents and Settings\*Your sons account*\Application Data

The application data folder is hidden, so to be able to see it go to Start>Control Panel>Folder Options and put a checkmark in "show hidden files and folders" then press OK

Now make a shared folder in your sons account

Make a shortcut to Limewire.exe on his desktop

Turn on Limewire from his account and change the savefolder to his new shared folder. Press apply and then OK.

Tools>options>saving

Now to test if this worked. Log of his account and on to yours. Turn on your Limewire and check if your saved folder is still the same as it was before. If it is then this has been succesful

Remember to post back if this works, so others can benefit from it as well
