Annoyingly 'rare' mp3 tracks

Hi all

I've been searching for L****y K****z's *** version of L****n's ****(first as a 1989 B-side of *******), but only find the live stage versions.

I did find just one mp3 of this great and gutsy track, but it's been stuck on 90% for a week now, with no sources etc available.

Has anyone any good advice?

Cheers ;)

if you really like the tune sooooo much, then support the artist and go buy it...simple as that...be glad you can even find a live version of it...

help!

I don't know how to do this but I have a question. We just switched from dial up to Starband Satelite service. My kids were able to use Limewire before and now they can't as it shows in the bottom left corner that it detects a firewall. I called Starband, they say they dont' have a firewall. I checked my windows xp and believe I have that set properly. I check w/ Norton antiv and they took me through steps to see if when Norton is disabled if that solves the problem and it does not. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Thanks, Julie

That's part of the same problem, else I would.

But, apart from your moral tone, aren't we all here to download stuff without buying?

moral tone is relative...it is presently rather illegal to 'facilitate piracy', and you ask for help in acquiring a specific, copyrighted, file...

you don't query something with the tone of 'how do I find a rare file on the gnutella network?'

now, finding rare files simply requires patience of some sorts...:rolleyes_2:

Guess you'll have to be more specific about your system setup.
Can you give us a total description of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
12. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

The brickwall in front of the small globe indicates a firewall. This firewall might well be in your router. Instead of disabling a firewall (you shouldn't run two at the same time), it is more advisable to configure the one properly since it will have even disabled some porcesses running in the background that LW might identify as firewall. How to configure the firewall properly you can reead here under (connection problems -click first):
