I've been searching for a rather obscure artist, Bill Chinook, for quite awhile. Tonite I thought I got lucky and found 13 listings. However, each and every one of them told me I needed to acquire a "license" in order to play them - which is a paid subscription service. Doesn't that just defy the whole idea behind LimeWire? -- posting tunes that demand you pay a fee before you can listen to them?

Whoever you are, I hope you read this and GO AWAY!!!

Not according to the Record Industry that does anything and everything in it's power to stop people from obtaining files "illegally". They even sued LimewireLLC and the court battle is still pending.

BTW forgot to add that LimewireLLC counter sued them and demanded a jury trial, so this is almost for sure going to court. Not like other file sharing program developers that have ended up settling out of court.

I know, I know!
I just recently posted to the effect that "they" were suing two people here in Madison WI for LimeWire 'violatons'. Sucks!
