I need a simple way to divide a video file in parts. You guys are good I know some of you can put me on the right track.

If it's .avi files you are talking about then you could try VirtualDubMOD (Use google to find it) Freeware

It's a bit complicated to use, but you get a lot of advanced options, and guides to do the various things can be found on the internet (again using Google)
