Default aol firewall help

ok so i've been reading a lot of threads and i'm confused. i'm using lw pro and i have 8 meg broadband from aol. i have a firewall and i think its slowing my upload and download speeds dramatically. while downloading 5 files, all avi and all around 550mb my speed is sometimes up to 200kbps in total but its usually around 40kbps and quite often 0kbps. each file is downloading from 6 or more hosts. how do i fix this? i've tried the instructions set out at the port forwarding site but aol don't support static ip and i have no idea how to allow lw access to the netgear router. help meee

Yes you do, just try going through the steps and see what happens...I know when I Port Forwarded, the static IP part was nothing like the instructions so I left it as is entered the one I had and I got it to work...

Just go with it and see what happens....
