This thread may be of some help

I've read through some other threads about this situation and the best advice would be to avoid these formats...

since DRM many file types will require a license to ensure you "own" the music..i wont crawl on my soapbox @how the RIAA sux and their assraping policies to not only their customers (thats us if you dont know) and worse yet the artists themselves...just like wonderingwhy said avoid wmafiles and stick with mp3s...i use the LIME to acquire hardtofind obscure or newly turned on to artists...if i like their stuff i will try and buy direct from them...if having the better compression is impt payforit..if not mp3s will play fine

I had that problem too, so I just try to avoid those files, but I was wondering about that also...
