![]() P2P these days demands that you stay as anonymus as possible yet Limewire, like most, seems to show IP addresses to all. Is there a away of being anonymous on Limewire? I have tried using proxies but whenever I enter a proxy address (known to work ok via Internet Explorer) LW won't let me connect |

![]() It is possible to use proxies. But I don't know how personally. There are instructions particularly on page 2 here A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire Well when you browse the internet you're leaving footprints everywhere you go anyway. Every site records your steps. There is no true anonymity even with proxies, though proxies may make it harder to trace. |
