Exclamation Warning:228 Kb files !!!

Hello,

I'm using Limewire and Limewire Pro with accelleration for quite some time and i like it alot.

But whenever i'm searching for something there are all sorts of files (kinda the same files but renamed to the most searchable topic) with the same size or close to 228 KB. Those files are malware, virusses, trojans etc. etc.

I got a perfect scan suite to solve those problems. I'm sure a lot of ppl havn't so let this be a warning...

The only think i dont like about Limewire is that ppl can just upload anything (thats cool and its the whole idea about Limewire) and even mallicious programs (this is what i dont like) to take advantage from others and F*** up your computer.

The warnings/firewall etc are good from Limewire. But those warnings you get is given to you afther your downloads, thats a pitty. Imagine your downloading something from 500 MB with a slow comp (i got adsl 20mb). It takes forever and when your done you get a virus warning (if you are protected ofcourse). It''s frustrating, annoying and waste of time!!

I was kinda hoping that Limewire could fix those things. I believe for every problem there is a solution... But then again...Those problems that i meantioned has be a pain in the ... from the beginning of Limewire, right?

Good luck and get yourself a good scan suite that detects everything!!

A band-aid that I use for this problem...

Mark those files as junk. LW will learn to eliminate (or display at bottom) those results that you don't want.

Also, organize your search results by file size. This helps me figure out what's real and what's not.

Good Luck

As written like above in general:
I know what to download and what not (by now and afther x-months) and even when i'm downloading some "junk" by mistake my scan suite (like i'm going to tell what brand) stops it and eliminates all kinds of "junk".
So this is just a warning for ppl who didn't known or hasnt shared it yet.

The issue is that it happens aftherwards, afther downloading. I guess for a lot of ppl who hasnt a 24/7 up to date scan suite, they might get a lot of problems. Then again those problems are also repairable. And in the worst cases you can use your system recovery to get back before those junk started to mess up your computer. In this last situation about 80 procent of trojans stays at your comp even afther the recovery. Afther hours of searching what kind of tool you can use to eliminate certain trojans and spend some dollars or euros (or something else) to use the tool it can be frustrating. Or simply just renew your system completely. Then again this will always be the grand issue afther downloading something anywhere.

Also if you have downloaded a messed up file you can simply rename it and uploaded it so you can mess up others (don't do this!!). This is also what worries me, because LW reacts afther downloading or in some casses not.

To reply to your message Muhctekdano (written above is just general):

Thanks for the reply and to share your comment.
But marking those filles as junk would be swimming into all the oceans the same time (be carefull for the sharks). Simply because ppl renamed the same file over and over again.
And to organize by file size wouldnt be a solution, because you might skip some important files you just needed with the same size or less then 228 Kb, like a Word-file for example.

But we wont drifting away by topic...
The topic is still the warning about those 228 Kb files !
