Read the manual of the device. If you didn't get a hard copy then check the disk it came with or the support files on the computer. Else google the model & put manual at the end of the name.

By default your downlds are saved here C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared
Unless you chose somewhere else or renamed the folder. You can also find your downlds by going to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you.

Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Saving & this will tell you the save location of your downld folder.

I have the manual but it doesn't give that much detail on how to transfer music over to it.

I have some songs in the shared folder.. but i don't know where to go and what to do afterwards

get your mp3 player connected to your computer...now go to My Computer, and you should see it as a drive...double click on the drive and it should 'open' up like a folder...leave that window up and running...

now...go to your shared folder...size the shared folder and the 'folder' of your player so that you can see them both...now simply drag and drop the mp3s from your shared folder into the player..they should copy right over....

I'm guessing that noone knows what the problem might be. I sure don't.

Maybe if you try posting all steps that you tried + any error messages an such

See if this works for you...

Firstly plug in your mp3 player....

Go to your shared folder outside of limewire, to find this folder you need to select a file from your LW library and hit explore....

Now you should have a window that contains all your downloaded files...
(you can close LW down now if you want)

Right click on one of your mp3s

select send to

select the drive that your mp3 player is pluged into (ie mine is E drive)
