Does anyone have this problem?

I can connect to only ONE server at a time, and when I do, I see that I have around 64 Kb of data. I do a search and I see about 500 resoults. The stats also say that there are only 10 files avaible. WTH? Also I notices that I connect to only one host in the Limewire Pro version, while I could for up to 5 in 1.9c (or rather I could find more). Is this a technical glich or something?

I changed my computer to Windows ME yesterday and the new limewire and have the same problem.
I have also seen this with other people that have Windows ME and or the newest version of limewire.
I am going to reinstall the old version and see if that is the difference, if not then its the Windows ME.
They are attempting to work on the new sight, but have many bugs to deal with.
That being a really big one.
You need to explain what system and program your running before you get the right answer.

I'll explain this one more time :

Ultrapeer - Leave network :

First you have normal connections to everybody and LimeWire sends and receives searches and search results to everybody .

Suddenly it stumbles upon a LimeWire client running in Ultrapeer mode .
Your LimeWire immediatly drops all it's connections exept for that Ultrapeer and sends an index (a list) of your files to it .

This is good because no searches and no search results are going trough your modem .
The Ultrapeer handles all searching , search results , matching , ...

The only activity you will see in your modem is when someone downloads a file from you or when you start searching and downloading .

So if you are on a slow 56K (phoneline) this is a blessed thing .
It can however be a curse if you have a T1 for just 2 PC's (my situation)

<hr>
So you see only one connection with bad statistics
They are still working on the statistics part .
But if you get about 100 results you can be sure that the one you are connected to is well-connected to others .

Besides you shouldn't trust the statistics anyway , they were always way off

Well, but I turned the ultrapeer off. Is there any way just run LimeWire the "old" way?

Hi VTOLfreak

No need to keep explaining - just copy and paste form where you keep all this information - which is what most of us do.:)

That's why we created the FAQ.

Please submit your gems to TruStarWarrior for inclusion in the FAQ and we can all share your knowledge without bothering you:)
