![]() Sorry about that. I had to go to the website. http://www.zealotsoft.net/ All Video Converter is a small and effective solution for video file conversion. It supports: AVI to MPEG1, MPEG2, DVD, VCD, and SVCD; and all media formats to DivX (MPEG4) and AVI,PAL-to-NTSC conversion and vice versa are also included, You can change the codec/System type between them including PAL<=> NTSC, Divx <==> cinpeak,as well as support for streaming media (WMV/ASF). An easy-to-use interface allows you to enjoy working with video files without frequently consulting reference materials. ![]() |

![]() Just so you know, I haven't actually converted anything with this software...because this is the SLOWEST program that I have seen used for conversion of video files. I think that a few times I grew impatient and aborted the process...video conversion programs can take up a lot of CPU, making your computer very slow. I'm talking 20 HOURS to do a full length movie. Compare this to TMPGenc, which many consider to be the highest quality converter, which can take up to 8 hours (on my computer, at least). Currently, I use WinAVI for most of my movies because it doesn't take up much memory (I can still use my computer), converts quickly (1 hour!), and produces high quality video. I still use TMPGenc for those movies that don't turn out as good as I like with WinAVI, but I have very high standards. I'm not sure, but I think the program (All V.C.) may have crashed on me, too. Good Luck ![]() |

![]() Ok. I am DLing winavi & deleting all the rest I have got (which is about 2 or 3). Now here's a question? Will I be able to put my movies on to disc after they are converted? I would love to curl up on the couch with my 2 daughters & watch the movies on TV instead of standing around a small computer screen. ![]() Last edited by Yvette39; January 16th, 2007 at 09:22 AM. |

![]() A couch beats a computer chair anyday! WinAVI will convert your files to DVD format, which you can then burn to disc. I use Nero 7 to burn to disc. Here's a link to a guide for using WinAVI: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/arch...dvd_winavi.cfm Good Luck! P.S. I would recommend previewing your DVD files before burning. Also, make sure you use quality media (blank discs). Among the most recommended brands are Verbatim and Sony. DVD+R is most widely compatible (check your DVD player specifications). P.P.S. It is generally recommended that you burn at half the speed that your media is capable of, i.e. burn at 8X if your media supports 16X. When I burn, I always choose the slowest speed option, just to be safe... |
