help - connection related

Hi all, i have been using limewire for sometime now, been enjoying good quality downloads. But since the taiwan earth quake, i dont seem to be able to use lime wire anymore. i tried reinstall both limewire and jawa runtime. yet when ever i do a search, the messeage is "Limewire is currently connecting to the network....untill you are fully connected to the network"
I am connecting from Malaysia. Wonder is there anything to do with the taiwan earth quake. Appreciate if you guys could help me. Cheers.

We've had a no. of users from Malaysia who have complained about the same thing. AFAIK they are still replacing the cables. So it may take another week or 2 at a guess. However if this extends beyond that period then perhaps the ISP's there have changed their policies ... particularly with the less bandwidth available due to the Taiwan earthquake.

Like ahdave, me too from malaysia and have been using limewire for quite sometime and had no trouble go through it untill recently. Like what you've said maybe it will take 2/3 weeks for them to replace the cable. But if the problem still persist beyond that period and if they have change their policies regarding the bandwidth, will we, the user from malaysia still have the access for limewire in the near future. So far to me limewire is the best solution for me to find music and if it's going to be restricted i think lots of us will be so dissappointed...

10days an counting. Yet cant get connected. Is it just Malaysia? Or the whole South East Asia? Any solutions?

Apparently one of our moderators from Thailand says they are still having some problems there.
