Whats happened to limewire I have used it for last 4 months now suddenly it does not work any more. I search for an artist and the search says there are 500 files but they do not show, this problem appeared to coincide with the realise of windows vista.At the same time all of my library files changed from a media player symbol to a symbol like a gold coin. Also half the files dissappered .I downloaded the latest version but this does not fix it at all 12.11.13.:. 1.windows xp pro. 2.zone alarm firewall. 3. 1gb ddr ram. 4. 80gb hard drive. 5.Unwired broad band 6.Navini modem. 7.house. 8.limewire 4.12.11. java 1.5.0_03. 9.unwired. 11.no. 12.only problem with expert user.13. only see brick wall before it connects. I also have peerguardian on my pc.Also nod32 antivirus. 7.05pm just tried it again searched The Delltones came up with 731 files but only 3 pranks!!!!!????? displayed.

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
