Downloaded Nero to burn now I can't preview, why??

I was having trouble playing and previewing and I read the forums and fixed the codec problem. After that I was able to Play after downloading and preview while downloading. Then I installed Nero (trial version) to burn to a DVD, which worked great by the way, but now I can't get my downlaoding movies to preview. I tried all the ways, double clicking, Preveiw button, right click and the preview but nothing happens. Can someone help me out here??

Instead of previewing from the download window, go to the Library window, select the incomplete folder, then locate your file you want to preview. Select it & press Launch button. This will also have the advantage of not creating a preview file which can take up considerable space.

You didn't say what player you were attempting to preview with.

I tried what you suggested and still no preview. After I downloaded the codec I was able to play and preview with media player classic.

I have been messing with it and it won't even play it after it is in my library, fully downloaded.

It sounds like Nero showtime has become your default player...Try this and see if this works...

Go to your shared folder outside of limewire (to find this click on a file in your LW library and click explore)
Right click on one of your movie files
Select open with
select choose program
select your prefered media player
and tick the box that says always open this file type with this program and click ok....

I uninstalled my Nero, now I have no trouble playing or viewing in my Limewire with Media Player Classic. I guess when I reinstall Nero I just have to be sure that I do not make it my default player. I do not recall it asking me that during the downlaod but I might have missed it.

Lots of windows programs are "sneaky" like that. They all want to be the default to handle files. Some ask, some don't.
