Hi, I'm Logan1957, and I've been wondering if anyone can stop people from sending thru garbage such as "Steven Speilburg Gets a Hilarious Prank Phone Call". Seems that every time I go searching for anything at all these garbage prank phone messages seem to be the first thing to pop up and they are getting more and more numerous. Is there a way we can stop them from being sent thru?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hate all the garbage pails junk, too. I have gotten rid of most of mine by using the FILTERS>CONFIGURE CONTENT FILTERS>KEYWORDS and added all the possible porn words, plus certain words that kept cropping up in the junk. Try to find words that are unlikely to be in things you do want to find. I have very few pails now.

The one thing I am not sure about is if you put more than one word in as an entry, if LimeWire will only filter out it being used together, but allow it with other words come through. Maybe someone reading this can answer it.

hi, if you set up the filters and put in all the variations of pranked etc etc how do you separate all the words, is it with a comma, semi colon, any tips on stopping all the crap coming through would be much appreciated.

They are wma files. And wma files are not safe. Stick with mp3's. Filter out wma's. Go to the keyword filter and add the word "wma'' without quotes to that filter. And to avoid some other crap add "_'' without quotes to that list too. I hope this helps.

I add each word or set of words separately by hitting the ADD button. I don't know if it would work as effectively if you added a bunch of words all at once, even if they are separated by commas, etc. For instance, for the word prank and all its forms you might get hits with, add PRANK > hit ADD, add PRANKED, hit ADD, add PRANKS, hit add, etc.

I have added a LOT of words so far separately and haven't run out of room! I also get little or no junk.
