Have you tried a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions. Have you tried deleting your LW prefs folder whilst LW is CLOSED? This folder is found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

i use mac os x v10.2.8 but i might get the 10.4 tiger later on.
how do i check what firewall i have?
im not sure how to check my ram but i know i have a lot i think its 512 MB
181 GB available space.
cable connection.
connecting from my house.
lime wire version 4.12.11 and java is 1.4.1_01
it used to be comcast but now im not sure i think their company changed.

when i go to this website:http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ it says my test worked.

not sharing my computer with anything else.
12.this is first time its happeneing to me this problem i mean and its happening on the mac i guess cuz i never had problem with Limewire on my pc.
