hey guys i have a little problem that i need help with. see everytime i search for something like songs in audio well nothing shows. its only a white blank screen with nothing, the list of names,albums on the right dont even show or the title of what im searching for. the only way i can get it to show is if i move my mouse over it sometimes and the files show that are being searched but then they go blank again. or sometimes i click on the blank search page where a file should be and it shows the files again but only for a while then it goes blank again. can anybody tell me why this happens? its never happened to me when i used limewire on my pc but on a mac its my first time seeing this problem... so help plz ty

Have you tried a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions. Have you tried deleting your LW prefs folder whilst LW is CLOSED? This folder is found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

i use mac os x v10.2.8 but i might get the 10.4 tiger later on.
how do i check what firewall i have?
im not sure how to check my ram but i know i have a lot i think its 512 MB

cable connection.
connecting from my house.
lime wire version 4.12.11 and java is 1.4.1_01
it used to be comcast but now im not sure i think their company changed.

not sharing my computer with anything else.
12.this is first time its happeneing to me this problem i mean and its happening on the mac i guess cuz i never had problem with Limewire on my pc.

* What modem/router brand & model are you using?
* So your pc is not also connected to the same?

i did what it told me to do for the firewall thing except i dont understand what it means when it says restart limewire applications so that part i need help on... im not sure exactly if this is the modems brand name but it says RCA digital broadband. and no i dont have a pc anymore thats why i use a mac now there is nothing else connected.

o by the way my firewall is turned off should i turn it back on?

so what should i do now , is there a way to fix it?

Are you able to connect via dial up at all? Some ISP's offer that service in case of problems. If you can see if you can connect ok via dial up. Then that will show us a few things.

For mac a firewall is not so mighty important, I often have it turned off. However you can turn it back on if it's configured properly.

i dont know what a via dial up is but i would say i doubt on having it. and why am i going to delete my preferences like whats that going to do? if i delete it i lose limewre dont i?

wait is via another type of internet like mac i am using has safari and internet explorer , is it something else?

I am having the same problem. When I search for anything, the search window is way messed up. I have a mac os x v10.2.8, I have enabled the firewall to accept any and all network traffic from limewire, I am not sure about memory (?), I have a cable connection- but I receive a wireless signal from a netgear wireless, I am getting the net from TimeWarner, I am not sharing this computer with anything else, the site provided from limewire said some test worked, and also deleted the limewire preferences folder you suggested..... any help here? thanks!
