i just downloaded a new version of limewire and now there is this orange bar across the search panel saying search results with a padlock are official limewire communications, how can i get rid of the bar as it is really annoying, also since updating i cant seem to download much if anything and when i do its very slow.

Yeah, what is that bar all about, although my speeds are fine, not really noticeably faster (TURBO) though.

The orange bar has been put there as a warning. There are files which contain messages such as "urgent limewire update required" and these are usually scams. Limewire is trying to look after you that's all. If Limewire do happen post such a message it will be marked with a padlock. afaik you cannot get rid of the bar.
