If you want to only have one antispyware app installed you should look into either AVG Anti-Spyware or Superantispyware. They are both free.

http://www.superantispyware.com/

Maybe also add Spywareblaster for extra coverage.

Normally I shy away from giving personal opinions, but if I had to choose btwn. Ad Aware & Spybot, I would lean towards Spybot because of the Tea-Timer Protection.

Default Anti-Spyware apps.

All anti-spyware apps work from an internal, regularly updated, database of malware. And what most people have experienced, including myself, is that no one anti-spyware product has all the known spyware in it's database. That is why most people, again including myself, use more than one anti-spyware app.

Like Wondering Why, I use the same three anti-spyware apps so that if one product misses something then one of the other two will pick it up.

So consequently, you would be fooling yourself if you think that one anti-spyware product will cover everything, it most definately won't.

One other thing to remember, there are also a lot of free bogus anti-spyware out there that will either put spyware on your PC or find a lot of false positives and ask you to pay to remove them, either way be careful when choosing the anti-spyware apps you want to use.
