I purchased Lime Wire Pro for $16.99 US off of this website Limewire Pro Free Download - Download Limewire Pro, Free Limewire Pro and then was forwarded some link to download the program. Needless to say the link doesn't work. Just curious if this is a valid site to purchase Lime Wire or did I get taken for a ride?

I was kind of feeling that way. Thanks for the info. I'll get started on working with PayPal for my refund.

It looks bogus, make sure that you check your paypal details and were only charged $16.99. The links seems to go round in circles so I guess you were shafted, paypal should refund your money once you challenge it.

Well,, I finally received the link to a working file. It installed the Pro version but it is V 4.10.9 Pro. The crappy part is I will not be getting any free updates because I do not have an e-mail address registered with the official downloading site. I guess I should have done my homework before buying it from the first website I came across.

I did check my paypal account and was only charged $16.99. I do appreciate the help. I suppose it could have turned out worse. I look forward to chatting with everyone here on the forums.

Jerry, Don't settle for some bunk BS for 16.99 when you can fight for your money back and then get the REAL Pro Version. Don't let these Jackasses take advantage of YOU. Thats how they make there money, by manipulating the innocent.

Always look on the bright side. My advice is don't update. But do do a fair bit of reading on the forums first in case you haven't used Limewire before. Wait for Limewire 4.14 or 5.0 whichever comes first.

But still do your best the get your money refunded from the scammers
