 Remoc Cheers for your info on how Social Security numbers are used in the US, I had no idea that they could be used for checks on your credit worthiness. You may not know this but in the UK our National Insurance numbers are only used by the government to check that we have enough contributions to cover things like pensions, medical treatment (doctors & hospitals), etc. And our employers to deduct these NI payments for and on behalf of the government. Anyway, seems like some of your Insurance companies are no better than the scam sites we warn newbies to stay away from. Peace UK Bob  |
