![]() I have a problem viewing a downloaded movie file from limewire on windows media player. Message states "player might not support the file type or codec that it was compressed on. Can file be converted or burned to DVD? Please help." |

![]() Try downloading & using the VLC media player (Its Free) & recommended by us here at the limewire forums. VLC player has most all of the codec's built into the player & plays above average quality for music & excellent quality for video files, (It plays most everything) If you wish, VLC player can be set as the default player for your computer, to do this In Limewire Library, highlight a file mp3, avi or whatever you wish then click on explore, in the bottom left corner. This will take you to the shared folder outside of Limewire, right click on a file, choose, open with, highlight VLC player, then tick the box to always use this program to open this type of file. Repeat this action to include all the file types you wish VLC to be the default player. USE THIS LINK IN BLUE (download from the nearest mirror site to you) Http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ P.S...Can file be converted or burned to DVD? Please help." ? You havent said what format the file is, Did you check the file with bitzi lookup, to see if its been reported on before download ? Your servant. Peace.
