i'm having problems with this anyway. i have wmp 11 but my screen doesn't look like your attachment. i have vista premium and have had this computer since feb. here's my problem... So i'm new at limewire...i know how to download and put them into my windows media library, btw I have Vista, don't know if that matters or not, just so you know. Well, when I download from limewire the files are mp3 files. i want to put them on cd's (CD-RW to be exact) and everytime i do it they want play. I think i figured it out because they're mp3 and not wma or something. so then i found this thing online--a free mp3 wma converter, it seemed to be working right and when i click on properties on the songs now, they say wma instead of mp3. but they do not play in my car stereo or home system either, i'm not doing something right obviously, and i don't think it should be this hard. any help will be appreciated, thanks so much. Since i read one of your comments i uninstalled the mp3 converter i had and was about to do the noteburner one but i needed someones comment on all this. please get back with me as soon as you can. or ne one else who may know what my problem is. i've done this like 10 times and each time it says that it's analyzing, writing, completed, then finalizing the disc, but it still will not play in any of my stereos and i've also formatted my discs beforehand cause i thought you had to do that ...i'm lost..please help. |

K Dano. I did what you said thinking that it would just pull over new songs to Media player and before I could close it out I had 100 or so duplicate songs cause it thru everything from the limewire libray over there. Is there a way to just take single songs to WMP? If not then is there a way I can get the previous version of LW back? |

I have songs in my library, can I sort them in a different order before I burn them. This guide deals with WMP 10…different versions have different options. The newest version (as of now) is WMP 11…I have taken a look at it, and many of the options are very similar. The main thing Microsoft changed is the interface. It looks pretty cool, but doesn’t all new software? How do I get music into my WMP library? 1. Open WMP…click on library tab…’Add to Library’ (see arrow) Attachment 3333 2. Click ‘by monitoring folders’…’Add’ Attachment 3334 3. Browse for the folder that contains your downloads. 4. Click ‘OK’ (twice) *Alternative path: Click file…add to library…by monitoring folders So now you’ve got a music library…and you want to listen to it someplace besides the chair you’re sitting in right now… How to burn an audio CD with WMP There are several paths you can take to burn a CD with WMP…this method is my favorite: 1. Open WMP…click on library tab…current list button (see arrow) Attachment 3335 2. Select ‘Burn List’ from scroll down menu 3. Drag and drop your music files from the middle pane to the right pane. Make sure your selections will fit on a disc (compare the ‘Total Time’ to the time listing on your disc). Do not use the file size shown, since your music files will be larger after decompression. 4. Click scroll down arrow next to ‘Start Burn’ 5. Verify that the setting says ‘Audio CD’ Attachment 3336 6. Insert a CD-R into your CD burner (or a CD-RW if it will play in your player) 7. Click ‘Start Burn’ WMP will now convert your music files into audio CD format and burn them to CD. The CD will be ‘finalized’ during burning. This means you cannot burn any more songs to the CD. If using a CD-RW, you will have to erase the disc before you can burn it again. Hope this helps Dano[/quote] |

For everyone thats having trouble with WMP, Try something else. WMP SUCKS, if all of you haven't figured this out yet. Why deal with ALL OF THIS BULLS**t. There are much BETTER alternitives out there. This peice of CRAP is going to continue to give you trouble with Simple Audio Files and just wait untill you try Video Files. It took me about 2 days to figure this out. It's not worth the trouble. Take a look here. It's Free and probably one the best you can get. VLC media player - Overview. You will have to have burning software to burn with VLC, like Nero. VLC is only a media player. Still better than WMP. . Last edited by Remoc; October 31st, 2007 at 06:30 PM. Reason: add to post |

Transferring files from Limewire pro to Windows Media I have just downloaded Limewire pro and successfully found a particular song and saved it to Windows media. Two problems. 1. I cant even get the track to play under Limewire Player. How do i do that? 2/ When i attempt to play the track using Windows Media Player i see the following dialogue box."The file you are attempting to play has an extension (.mp3) that does not match the file format. Playing the flile may result in unexpected behaviour" It soes - its does nt play, nor can i transfer it to my Archos which syns automatically. Any thoughts? |

LimeWire or WMP doesn't play the songs My questions are the same as the question posted above by "stadkins". Everytime I click on the "Launch" button to play a song, LimeWire just adds it to the playlist, but does not play the song. I have checked the "player" options under "tools" and the "Use LimeWire Media Player" box is checked. Does anyone know why this is happening and why it won't play the song. I also get the same message that "stadkins" posted pertaining to the error message when trying to play a song thru Windows Media Player. I need help also Please!! Thanks! |

Maybe try a different browser i.e. if you are using Internet Explorer then try Firefox instead. Edit: Made them load inside the guide instead, so now it should be easier Last edited by Sleepless; February 9th, 2008 at 07:47 PM. |
