I, sadly agree... I said no to all the extras and my Zone alarm is warning me about a attempt to access: 209.11.1**.*** via HTTP Time for me to uninstall this thing and hope this stuff removes itself completely. I'm very dissappointed.I looked in my services listing and couldn't find an entry for this that stood out. Anyone know how this thing is registrered to run at startup? I'm not a windows expert, but I know enough about disabling services and such, but I didn't see one labelled clearly enough to know if it was in the services listing on Win2k. |
I hate spyware I am an average user and I have purchased Limewire. I am very unhappy to find TopMoxie and other spyware on my system because I've downloaded P2P software. Fine. I can deal with the advertisements. I also understand that I agreed to the license agreement and TopMoxie info was probably in there somewhere, however, things like this need to be very, very clear to the user. Most users understand that they will see advertising or have cookies on their system. But running these applications in the background without notifying the user in clearer terms is simply unacceptable. |
