connection issues
 

hi all !! can anyone help ?? while installing limewire i was asked what connection type i have the options where modem/cable dsl/t1/t3 i have a talk talk adsl broadband modem model smartax mt882 i selected modem and carried on installing lime wire but on all video's i have searched for most say they require atleast dsl or t1 or t3 i only bought pc new 1 month ago and got modem have i selected the right setting ?? and is there any way to change this from inside limewire rarther than uninstall please help !! my computer knowledge in this area is not good !! lol thanks:)

If you've got a broadband connection, 'modem' setting's probably wrong for you:D

You can do a speed test here (only have your browser open when you do the test).

Once you know your speed, have a look at the thread below...it tells you what speeds suit the different options in LW.

Just so you know, a lot of TalkTalk customers have had problems with using LW. There's more info here;)
