How do I change my default video player ?

hey everyone, hope ya remember me.


anyway, Im cool with my audio through limewire player, but for videos, I wan to make it VLC player. I wanna double click the download part (not incomplete files) and play through VLC. How do I do this? I tried changing through the file, but it doesn't show up in the Limewire app

Hiya da1nonly, we remember you... Try this...

Go to your incomplete folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your incomplete files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of the incompletes
Select open with
Select choose program
select VLC
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK

Let me know if that works...

Yup, thats what I did. It opens with VLC in the actual folder, but in Limewire, it opens with Realplayer, and I dont want that. Any other ideas?

What version of Limewire are you using ??

kinda new here,have had limewire a few years,but ive only used it for music,but movies and pics,are a whole new thing and with vista at that so whats a good default for movies and such.

you can try this player it works good for me it plays a lot of types VLC media player - Overview
