My friends told me to Turn all my music files to Not sharing. He said to do this because the Music companies or w/e can find you out if you share the files. So me being paranoid Stoped sharing every single file. If i were not to have doen this, could have i been in danger?

Yes it's true, anyone you shares copyrighted files could be in danger of being caught by the authorities...

But...You need to start sharing something even if it's a few pictures or some non-copyrighted files, because if you don't you are then considered a freeloader and the point of p2p is sharing with each other...If everyone stopped sharing there would be no downloading either...
