I would like to use Limewire only for music torrents downloads and not for videos torrents, but I cannot seem to find a way of selecting the type of files that I would like to use Limewire for on the options tab. How do I do this? Is there any way of making sure that Limewire is not the default torrent program? Maybe that would be a way around this problem. Who knows?

I don't think it's possible to make one program handle audio torrents and another handle videos. You can change the program that handles torrents though.
