List of continuing bugs in LimeWire I've e-mailed a number of these bugs to the LimeWire developers about a year ago, but nothing has been done. I'm currently using version 2.1.3 Pro. 1> Any options are reset to default when a newer version is installed. An upgrade shouldn't force the user to go in and redefine all their preferences, shared directories, etc. 2> The Connections page doesn't behave properly. I have 6 connections to keep active, but starting up LimeWire only uses 3. If I go down each time and put a 6 overtop the existing 6, it tries more sites. The older bug that stopped trying new connections when double-clicking on the system tray icon seems to be fixed. 3> When sorting by file size in the search screen, the sort order is incorrect. It is viewing these sizes as text and not numeric, therefore 999KB will come after 123456MB. |
One more to add to the list It locks some (but not all) files in any shared directories for no apparent reason. I can't delete certain shared files with no transfers in progress without first shutting LimeWire down. |
I've also seen the problem with certain files in the shared folder being locked until Limewire is exited. It is rather annoying when it happens to new files that I want to check out before allowing them to be shared. |
I would like to add that the "would you like to update now" dialog that comes up for me ( on all my computers and my friends computers) has no "yes" button. |
