can't get to connect

My brother-n-law put limewire pro on his unit and can't get a connection to the server.He is running a dell with 2 gr 250hard drive well it's a brand new computer . What can we do to resolve this problem?

Howstuffworks "How Gnutella Works" heres a very brief bit on how limewire works using the gutnella network. There is no central server, just many individual computers connected. Perhaps he has some firewall up or some business like that. When "brother n law" searches for music does he get any results?
