who is "zooskoolzooskool", and who is "carlcarl"? Who is "zooskoolzooskool", and who is "carlcarl"? And who is "uftmafiasex", while we are on the topic... These are some of the Incoming Searches I see, when I run LimeWire. I'm sure I'm not the first one to ask this question, but I searched the Gnutella Forum and came up with nothing. My general question is this: how do I know who is browsing my computer? (These are probably unrelated details, but I would like to follow protocol: I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 and Java 1.5.0_19 and LimeWire 4.18.8) thank you |

It means 'something' in your shared files has part of a shared name that matches a search query, and an ultrapeer has directed their query to your shared files to see if it matches I guess. But in their search will only see any file that matches fully or partially. Keep in mind others on the network can ONLY see the files you are sharing, nothing else on your computer! Which files are you sharing? Click on the Public Shared icon at far left of LW's window. Click on All button to see all the files you are sharing & can be seen by others on the gnutella network. Sometimes people attempt to rid of spam by adjusting their own junk filters. If they do a rubbish search term such as lheouoisnljke & find results then chances are these are spammed search replies & are junk & probably contain virus or advertising or simply junk files. |
