Hi SOS and to the Gnutella Forums.

Make sure the Bitrate Field from the ToolBar is enabled.

Try different Search Methods, and the "All Types" Tab.

Video Generally won't show a Bitrate, so make sure you use the Audio or All Types Tabs. Below is another possibility of the results your seeing.

The Gnutella Network is Loaded with Viruses, Worms, Trojans, Spam, Fakes, and Corrupt Files. Prolly what you're finding.
Here are a few Links that will help combat some of these issues and will show what to look out for.

* WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of ! *

good file or bad file

This will get you started.

So you just Recently Updated Versions of LW ??
Sometimes it seems that a corruption appears when Updating.
Try these suggestions by LOTR's.

I'd suggest deleting your LW preferences folder, then reinstalling LW using the OFFLINE installer.

1. Delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) OR if using VISTA see LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

2. Uninstall LW using the Start menu -> All Programs -> LW -> Uninstall.

3. Run either or both of these utilities to clean up registry: Crap Cleaner or / & Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up

4. Reinstall LW using this OFFLINE installer: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe
