Default After download music to computer, won't copy to mp3 player

after I download the songs, I try to copy the songs to my mp3 player so I can listen to them but the msg " cannot copy...the directory or file can not be created" pops up everytime. Is it b/c I don't have the rights to the song and the computer is signaling that I am trying to copy the file? I only want to download the music from limewire and transfer it over to my mp3 player. Can someone help me with this?

Hi DianaB and Welcome to the Gnutella Forums.

As long as your MP3 Player Isn't an iPod or a Zune, this method should work.

While in LW, click the Library Tab. Click on any file and then click on Explore (Lower left Corner).

This will open the Shared/Saved Folder thats on your HDD.

Now Plug in the MP3 Player via USB. Now click Start > My Computer. You should see that your computer has recognized the Player as a Removable HDD. Now you can Double Click the Player to open. Find the Audio Folder.

Now with Both Folders Open, Drag and Drop the Files From the Shared/Saved Folder to the Audio Folder of the MP3 Player.
Hope this Helps.

Thank you, I dont have an ipod or zune. But I know I to move files from one file to the next, but this blocker now comes up and says 'cannot copy. The directory or file cannot be created.' What does that mean and how I can prevent this from allowing me to transfer the music to my mp3 player?
