![]() Hi, I am a new user to the MP3 download scene. I recently purchase unlimited music downloads ($35) using the LimeWire software 4.18.8. I am running Windows XP, Media Player 11 and Itunes 8.0. I was able to successfully install LimeWire software and download several songs with the MP3 or MWA formats to my shared folder. However, I cannot play any songs I've downloaded because the file formats are not compatable with either the Windows Media Player and the Itunes player. My next step was to download the AVS Audio Converter AND STILL NO RESULTS. Why is this so hard? ![]() ![]() It is my hope that after investing all of this time (hours) and money, that someone can give me a simple, straightforward answer on how to use the MP3 formats I've downloaded. PLEASE HELP! Lancer EMAIL=*** __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. ![]() OMG ... I do feel sorry for you. O.o .. Unfortunately you purchased a program from a scam site. Chances are it is not even LW Pro. The official LW site do not advertise, nor do they offer unlimited anything. Perhaps you should see these links: get your $$$ BACK!!! (music members) & also this one Known Scam Sites (click on link). Yes please ask for a refund ASAP. If they refuse, contact your credit card company & tell them it was an online fraud. They usually have special departments dealing with fraud. With luck your CC will recover your money. Get LW from the 'Official' site, but start with LW Basic first until you know how to use it well. It is free: Lime Wire » Download LimeWire As for the so-called audio songs you downloaded not being compatible, it's my guess they are all fakes; spam. See both Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) & also How to find music ![]() |

![]() Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. It makes sense now--those fake files. I thought it was something I had did. Now I know...Fortunately, it looks like I'll be getting my money back. I also called my credit card company just to make sure. I got the individual's name I talked to. Again, thanks for all your help. |
