What's the extension of the video (mpeg, avi, wmv etc)?

What player(s) are you using?

Have you had the same problem with other videos?

Do you see any error messages when you try to play the video?

Did you check the file with Bitzi before download?
How to use Bitzi

Try playing the file with VLC player. VLC's a free download & has codecs installed to play most file types: VLC - (click on link)

I'm having the same problem. I had to dump my computer because of a nasty virus and start from scratch. My video files are in my library, but I can't find them anywhere else to watch or put them on a dvd.

Choose nearest mirror site for VLC. If that won't work, choose a different one. I downloaded mine from France & that's on opposite side of planet from me. lol Windows right? -> http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html (You can click on the Show Full Mirror list.)
VLC should be able to play it.

OK, I got the VLC to work. I'm trying to burn the video using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Basic VCD Edition. When I try to add the file there is a circle with a diagonal slash thru it (ex: like no left turn). What did I do wrong now??? It used to be so easy

If VLC can't play it chances are that it is a bogus file.

Thanks for the reply. I got VLC to work and the movie is fine. My problem now is that I can't burn it to a DVD. I'm using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Basic VCD Edition but the file shows a circle with a slash through it, (like a no left turn etc.) Any sugguestions?

Can that version of Roxio burn DVD's?

I use Roxio Toast on a Mac computer, & Toast was & always has been best burner program, even since before Nero existed. However on windows it's a different story. And I suspect you have a limited version of the Roxio program. Need to recheck instructions as to what it 'can' do.

I never had problems burning a DVD until this new version of Limewire.
