Unhappy Multiple Unrelated results...

When searching for "Curious Benjamin***" All I have been getting is a full page of unrelated "Women's World", CBS Comedy episodes, and other junkie files. I refuse to update to Limewire 5 because I think it is NOT as user friendly and don't think this will resolve the problem. On that note: when using Limewire PRO 4.1.8, I am now getting that stupid "new version available" update now" Which reminds me of the "Get Limewure Pro, Update now" every time you open the program? You got my money, stop bugging me to update!

Unfortunately cannot do anything about the update message. I simply ignore it.

In reference to junk results, check http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...tml#post342555 for pointers & see if any of them help.

I normally ban hosts that give the typical junk results. Though keeping in mind these spammers normally use dynamic ip addresses & also use very large network setups.

Right-click one of those Women's World results & choose ban & see if it's a network ip address such as 192.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x ... 'if yes' you could decide to ban it. However doing so might also end up banning some innocent users who also use ill configured network addresses or use LW from work or something.

However you also need to consider that gnutella programs (as discussed in that link I gave) only have a certain search horizon. So perhaps the ultrapeers you are connected to are too far in hops from those with the files you are seeking (else such sharers are not online.) Search results can very much vary depending upon UP's you are connected to.
