Can't open preferences in Limewire Pro 5 OS X

Every time I hit preferences it says disabled and does not work. Why?

You might need to delete your main preferences folder to fix this issue. But only do it whilst LW is closed. Take out the file called Downloads.dat, then trash the LW preferences folder. Open LW, preferences should be accessible. Close LW, re-add the Downloads.dat file to the preferences folder, re-open LW. Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX
